Once I receive your order form for a custom house portrait, I will reply with information on my availability, a quote, a draft contract and any questions I may have for you (such as about any reference images provided).

General Ordering Deadlines & Waiting List

As a bespoke fine art commission service, my calendar fills up quickly. I can usually fit in between two and four commissions per month, so it’s best to act quickly if your commission is for a special occasion, or is near peak gifting times.

Please submit your enquiry and I will contact you as soon as I can to discuss your request and advise on my availability (and/or how the waiting list looks at the moment!).

Order Form

Submitting your enquiry via this form will help me make sure I have everything I need to work on your project. If you'd like to get in touch first, please do so via the contact page. This form has three parts: • Naming your project, • Completing the enquiry form, and • Uploading images. If you are not yet ready to upload images, you can simply email images later, or let me get in touch to discuss procuring suitable reference material.

Please give a name to your project. You will also use this when naming & uploading/emailing reference images, to ensure I file and use references correctly. Suitable names would include the town name, a descriptor of the house, and your name. E.g.: "Sandra's Terrace House, Carlton VIC", "Phoebe's Farm House, Orange NSW" or similar.

Message / Background Briefing

Let me know any particular relevant information about the house / property you'd like me to draw. It helps me to know the context: is this your house, or did/does it belong to someone in your family, or a client of yours? Do you want to make sure I include any specific details, leave something out, or move something to create a more pleasing view?

If you are wanting the artwork to arrive by a particular date, let me know. Before I confirm a project I will advise whether I can meet the deadline.

House Details

Where is the property you'd like me to draw? This helps me look up the house either by cycling past (Melbourne metropolitan) or searching online. If you don't want to give me the address, use the first field to describe the context of the house (the type of house and a description of its surroundings), and ensure you've got some reference images for me either through the form uploader, or emailed direct.

My work is highly dependent on good reference images. The better the image, the better the outcome. If you want tips on taking good photos, check the FAQ or get in touch. Please be sure they are photos I'll have permission to work from. If you took the photo yourself, we're golden. If the photo is by a professional photographer, I may need them to sign a release form. If you're not sure, mention that in this form and I'll check it with you. I generally work from one image, but I like to see at least 2-3 from different angles and perhaps times of day, to get a sense of the property, if at all possible.

Use the button to upload your file/s to my secure, private, Dropbox folder. If you're on a computer and can rename your files, please use the project name you chose for this commission. If not, don't panic: the upload process will add your name to the file anyway (so uploading from your smartphone is fine). If you'd rather email images to me, you can do so by email once I get in touch with you.

Terms & Conditions

50% non-refundable commencement fee & signed contract required to schedule any work.
All work is subject to acceptance of contract, terms & quote that will be provided once you submit a full order form.
The commission is for personal use only: you are not entitled to use the artwork in a business or commercial context without an additional licensing fee and extended use agreement.
All works sold unframed and unmatted - unless framing is added, which must be discussed before the commission.
While all standard works are made on A3 paper (including a margin for ease of framing), the final paper size sent to you is a little smaller than A3, as once cut off the drawing board we lose about 1cm on all sides.
I reserve the right to crop to a slightly different size (for example if the artwork would better a suit a squarer or wider sheet size).
Works can be made smaller if required, please let me know when you make an enquiry. They can also be larger.
